Richmond Hill Fish Hatchery

Richmond Hill Fish Hatchery

Originally constructed in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), this 87-acre facility contains 38 fish production and rearing ponds (which total 18.8 acres of water), raises 8 different types of fish and aids in stocking numerous privately-owned ponds. The hatchery features three kids fishing event ponds and a one-mile long nature trail known to spotlight the occasional whitetail deer, fox, alligator, rabbit, turkey, blue bird, bald eagle, barred owl and several more. They host several different family fun events including an outdoor adventure day annually. For more information visit www.georgiawildlife.com/Hatcheries/RichmondHill
